As a society we would like to echo the sentiments of the RCOG regarding the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. We are all too aware of the challenges that face healthcare workers in many settings on a daily basis but cannot even begin to understand the hardship that our fellow workers in Ukraine are dealing with. We are also aware that all too often women and babies are severely affected and disadvantaged in times of conflict. BMFMS stands in support of the people of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian obstetricians and gynaecologists, midwives, anaesthetists, neonatal and paediatric specialists and all our medical and nursing colleagues facing such a difficult crisis. We call for an urgent end to the conflict in order to preserve life and ease the suffering of those in Ukraine. We would like to ask our members to consider lending their support to families in need of healthcare, food and shelter by donating to The British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal at  https://fal.cn/3mzRL.

President of BMFMS
