A one day-event run by the Birth Trauma Association to discuss how we can improve maternity outcomes for mothers and babies. The day includes sessions on hypoxic brain injury, racial disparities in maternity and reducing harm caused by instrumental birth. Speakers and panellists include Baroness Merron, the minister for women's health, Andrew Weeks, professor of International Maternal Health Care, University of Liverpool and Alison Wright, president of RCOG. The conference will also hear from women sharing their own experience of harm in maternity. The event, hosted at the beautiful BMA House in central London, includes lunch as well as tea, coffee and pastries.
