Joint RCOG/BMFMS event

Overview

This popular event offers a comprehensive exploration of fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrics.

Global specialists provide a refresher on essential core knowledge including maternal morbidity complicating the fetal environment, preterm birth, the management of fetal structural and genetic anomalies, and the theoretical framework underpinning fetal therapy. This is complemented by rich discussion with the speakers, offering an interactive platform for delegates to share their questions. You will also be able to interact with the policy developers of the Saving Lives Care bundles and the developers of national guidelines.

Taking place over three days, this course provides the knowledge required to fulfil one of the course requirements for subspecialist training in maternal and fetal medicine. It provides an advanced theoretical platform for Special Interest training Modules (SITMs) in Fetal Care, Prenatal Diagnosis and Preterm Birth. It also aligns with the criteria outlined for the Advance Training Skills Modules (ATSMs) in Fetal Medicine or High-Risk Pregnancy from the previous RCOG curriculum.

Designed for obstetricians pursuing a career in high-risk obstetrics, this event provides a strong theoretical foundation to enhance clinical practice and professional development.
