BMFMS Medical student prizes
Since its inception the BMFMS has aimed to improve standards in
pregnancy care across professional boundaries - and this includes
welcoming medical students into this exciting field of clinical and
academic medicine.
With these goals in mind the society would like to invite applications
for up to five medical student prizes - these will be awarded to the
highest ranking research or audit projects submitted from the fields
of maternal medicine, fetal medicine and obstetrics.
Applications will be accepted from any medical student affiliated to a
UK or Republic of Ireland Medical School. The application should be
laid out in an 'abstract' style - with aims, methods, results and
conclusions detailed. The maximum word count is 500 words.
The closing date is the 1st February 2009. The best five applications
will be offered free registration and accommodation at the annual
BMFMS conference in Liverpool in June 2009 - where the work will be
presented in poster format. There will be a cash prize for the best
project as assessed by a panel of judges at the conference.
Good luck!
