BMFMS Medical student prizes
Since its inception the BMFMS has aimed to improve standards in pregnancy care across professional boundaries - this includes welcoming medical students into this exciting field of clinical and academic medicine.
With these goals in mind the society regularly invites applications for up to five medical student prizes - these are awarded to the highest ranking research or audit projects submitted from the fields of maternal medicine, fetal medicine and obstetrics.
Applications are accepted from any medical student affiliated to a UK or Republic of Ireland Medical School. Applications should be laid out in an 'abstract' style - with aims, methods, results and conclusions detailed.
The closing date generally co-incides with the closing date for abstract applications for the annual conference. The best five applications are offered free registration and accommodation at the annual BMFMS conference - where the work will be presented. There is a cash prize for the best presentation as assessed by a panel of judges at the conference.
The deadline for applications for the 2012 conference has now passed. Details about the 2013 round will be posted on the website in the autumn of 2012. Keep a look out!
